Fish Talk! is a guided social group to get kids of all ages outside and eager to share ideas, descriptions of fish and make some friends. Join Outdoor Speech Therapist, Kat Rackliff, and Registered Maine Guide, Jake Rackliff, outside to start your fishing journey!
Trail Talk
Trail Talk is a guided social group meant for girls ages 11 and up. Led by Certified Outdoor Therapist and Speech Therapist, Katherine Rackliff, we will be exploring local trails in York County while discussing tricky topics that may arise, while connecting with peers.
Nature Navigators
Nature Navigators is a summer series to support children ages 5+ with all intellectual and developmental backgrounds. This is an inclusive outdoor program meant to support all kids while exploring nature, learning about bushcraft ideas and the amazing animals and fauna in Maine!

Event information
- Cost: $15 for the first child per family, $10 for each additional child. Children 4 and under are free. Parents attend at no cost.
- Payment: Cash at the start of the event, or Venmo @Kat-Rackliff.
- Ages: 5 and up recommended.
- Footwear: Please wear boots or closed-toe shoes/sandals/crocs.
- Gear: Please bring any fishing gear you already have. Loaner equipment is available!
- Sunny days: Sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen are highly recommended.
- Rainy days: Rain jackets, boots, and a rain hat are highly recommended.
- Location: Each event will be at a different spot — revealed after you register!
- Most importantly: HAVE A BLAST!
- Reminder: It's called "fishing" not "catching"!

Waiver and release
- Supervision Requirement: I understand all participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times during the event.
- Assumption of Risk: I understand that participating in a fishing event involves certain risks, including but not limited to accidents, injuries, and exposure to natural elements. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
- Liability Release: I, on behalf of myself and the participant(s), hereby release and hold harmless Chickadee Chatter Speech Therapy LLC and Cast and Call Guide Service LLC, their staff, volunteers, event location, and any partners from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages arising from participation in this event, including any injury, illness, or loss that may occur.
- Medical Authorization: In the event of an emergency, I authorize event organizers to secure medical treatment for the participant(s) as deemed necessary. I understand that any medical costs incurred will be my responsibility.
- Acknowledgement: I have read and understood this waiver and release. By typing my name below, I confirm my agreement to the above terms.
