Meet Lisa | Speech-Language Pathologist

Lisa Henry, MS Ed, CCC-SLP

Lisa is a nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist through the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association. She is licensed in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

“I enjoy working with children and their families to support communication, feeding and everyday confidence. My approach blends evidence-based treatment with a calm, collaborative atmosphere so children can feel safe, curious and ready to grow!”

In her free time, she recharges through yoga, painting, reading, exploring new places, shopping, and tracking down new restaurants in the area. These interests keep me curious and help me bring fresh energy to the families I work with.

Specialties include:

  • Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders:

    • Assessing form, function, and impact of:

      • Tongue, lip, and buccal ties

      • Tongue resting posture

      • Tongue thrust swallow

  • Pediatric Feeding, including:  

    • Picky eating, limited food repertoires

Meet Kristy | Reading River Guide


Kristy Kendrick, M.S.Ed

Kristy brings 13 years of experience in public education—including 7 years as a classroom teacher and 6 years as an ed tech—supporting learners with a wide range of reading and language needs. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Southern Maine and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Maine, grounding her work in structured literacy, child development, and evidence-based instruction.

She is certified in several trusted literacy programs, including:

  • Lindamood-Bell LiPS

  • Lindamood-Bell Seeing Stars

  • S.P.I.R.E. SoundsSensible (Foundations)

  • Great Leaps (Reading Fluency)

  • Science of Reading

Kristy loves spending her free time immersed in Maine’s great outdoors, exploring everything the Pine Tree State has to offer. Whether she’s hiking scenic trails, camping under the stars, off-road ATVing, or fishing alongside her loyal dog Moxie, she’s happiest in nature. In the summer, you’ll often find her wandering Mount Blue State Park, while winter draws her to the slopes of Sunday River and Saddleback Mountain. And when she’s not adventuring, she’s often curled up with a good book about Maine’s rich history.
